hello again fellow viewers! here i have recreated the saturnian system as viewed from Rhea(saturn's second largest moon).
from left to right: -Iapetus(very dark moon to the far left of the image. i blew it up by about a factor of 2 to make it visible.) -Dione(largest moon in the image to the left of saturn.) -Enceladus(moon in front of saturn.) -Tethys(moon to the right of saturn.) -Titan(red moon to the far right of the image.)
-all distances are roughly scientifically accurate except for iapetus. -iapetus and titan are behind saturn. -saturn's axial tilt is also farely accurate. -saturn's rings are supposed to be slightly thinner. -the moons orbital planes are also farely accurate. -saturn's rings are also farely accurate.
Oh! and for the first time ever, i added ring shadow to the planet! so comment and tell me how i did on them! i'll see if i can make a tutorial on how to do it, its pretty easy!
so comment and tell me how i did on the image! enjoy!
Nice! I like the idea Very well done. Where does the crater picture come from? Looks like an impact crater on Earth. Is that the one from Arizona? The rings look very good that's cool Did you see the last full view of Saturn lightened from back on the website of NASA? It is a green picture, really fantastic, pretty sure you would like it! Nice work, thanks Antoine
the landscape is an image of meteor crater in arizona. as for the back of saturn, i think i made it too bright. but i do plan on redoing this image at a later date.
Yeah I thought it could be this one. It's a pity I missed it last year, I visited the region... We made it to Wupatki national park instead, and it was great!! Yes I noticed that the back was a bit too bright but didn't wanted to annoy you with details. Good work!
