EDIT: IN RESPOSE TO A COMMENT I ADDED A GLOW AROUND THE STAR TO BLEND IT IN WITH THE BACKGROUND

As the planet orbits its star, the stars radiation blasts the planet dry and its heat melts the rock until rivers of lava flow across the its surface as it is seared by its stars scorching rage.

this took me about 2 days to make. the star was a stock image that i got with the program. original design was to include 1 or 2 moons but the image would had looked too crouded, so i kept it simple. and like i said, it would be better than my previous work. hope you guys enjoy it and expect to see more work coming soon!

Especially the planet's rings. Good rings are difficult to do.

cool. i like the planet texture here. i think you should add another larger glow around the star, its a bit out of place.
but its definitely better than your prev works.

thanks! and yes, it did pop into my mind when i was making it to add a glow around the planet but i think it slip out due to all the work.
