finally fixed the scanning software!

oh, yeah, i still got my skills! i finally picked up a pencil after like what, 2 years! and despite the long period of time, it still came out awesome! this is the first time i'm also drawing anatomy to, came out pretty good!

anyways, enough of that and more on the sketch! this is my concept design of an akhelan. its more of a side head shot actually, but you still get the idea. as i said before, they are shark like humanoid creatures. because they evolved from shark like creatures, i gave them a somewhat muscular build.
their blood is blue due to hemocyanin instead of hemoglobin and their chirality is levo like humans.
they still have powerful jaws, and a strong neck.
they have excellant vision and an extremely powerful sense of smell.
their hearing is a lot better than humans and their ears are stream lined. the dorsal final design on their heads is different for each individual. in females, it is smoother and runs down their back. in males, it is sharper and runs down to their neck.
females also have a slimmer body and somewhat smoother face.
akhelans still have a long powerful tail.
they can swim very fast and are still very strong.
they are a foot taller than humans on average.
they developed arms and legs from their fins as they began to use simple tools like strong undersea plant fibres or move stones with their fins. then they developed fingers and toes.
they have four somewhat wedded fingers and toes that have also developed small sharp nails due to their predatory past.
their skin tone is usually gray or bluish gray, but in rare cases sometimes yellowish gray, brownish gray or very light gray. in the rarer skin tones, there may also be some patterns like spots or stripes which are extremely rare.
each individual also has their own iris colour. but the usual ones are blue and green. then there are sometimes individuals with yellow, orange and in rare cases, red. in the dark, their iris' fluoresce.
they breathe through their 'gills' which are located on the sides of their abdomins.
they live on average, 70 earth years without any biotechnology integrated into their systems. some can live 100 earth years without biotechnology. with biotechnology, they can live on average, 685 earth years. so yes their medical research is quite advanced.

they may look menacing, but their minds have evolved to be very peaceful and caring of others. however, they still do experience small random outbursts of aggression due to thier predatory past and stress and anger can activate it.
their society is mainly based around science and they treat each other fairly and equally. however, certain individuals say otherwise.
whenever they go off world, to visit other planets and races or go on research missions, they where a full body suit and helmet filled with water in order to breathe. but individuals that have stronger systems are capable of removing their helmets and just using the suit alone.
their technology is also very advanced and they are respected for their great contributions to the galactic society.
they speak english just like most of the other advanced races in the milkyway galaxy and talk with a slightly deeper tone than humans.
their homeworld is daedalus .
